Abinash Barik, LLM, MCIArb - Consultant, KoVe Global

Abinash qualified as an Advocate since 2014, having right of audience in all Courts in India. He completed his master’s degree in law (specializing in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution) at Queen Mary University of London.

He is a young international arbitration practitioner, with a particular focus on Construction & Infrastructure, Energy & Natural Resources, Commercial and Investor-state disputes.

He has worked as Research Assistant to Prof. Martin Hunter (Barrister & International Arbitrator) at Essex Court Chambers, 2014-16. In his capacity as Tribunal assistant, he has experience in complex disputes under ICC, AAA, PCA and CAS Rules. He has also interned with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (London office) and Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. (Delhi).

He has been involved as a contributor to two leading publications, namely, Redfern and Hunter on International Arbitration (Oxford University Press) and Handbook on Arbitration in India (Wolters Kluwer).

His speaking engagements include addressing judges and lawyers at Ghana Arbitration Centre (Accra) and LLM students at King’s College London.

He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb). His professional memberships include Bar Council of India, ICC YAF, YSIAC, LCIA-YIAG, AIPN & Young ICCA.
